 Active in international exchange and cooperation, the State Key Laboratory of Food Science and Resources (Nanchang University) has established sound relations in the fields of academic exchange, cooperation in science and technology and personnel training programs with the research institutions from Germany, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korean, and other countries. Among the international cooperation projects, the Sino-German cooperation was honored as the “outstanding model of technical cooperation”. The laboratory successfully held a series of international seminars such as “The 14th International Hydrocolloids Conference”, “International Symposium on Bioactive Natural Polysaccharides and Dietary Fibre: Structure, Bioactivity and Applications” and so on. We have invited worldwide famous experts and scholars to give lectures and actively participated in a lot of international academic conferences and made presentations. Prof. Mingyong Xie received 2014 Food Hydrocolloids Trust Medal, which is the only Chinese scholar to receive this award. We have built a joint Laboratory in Food Science and Technology with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The laboratory has also launched research cooperation and personnel training programs with University of Bonn (Germany), Technical University of Munich(Germany), University of Hohenheim (Germany), German Sport University Cologne, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, University of Guelph (Canada), Wageningen University & Research (Netherlands), University of Minnesota (USA), The University of Georgia (USA)，Clemson University (USA), University of Massachusetts (USA), University of Cambridge (United Kingdom), University of Cardiff (United Kingdom), The University of Melbourne (Australia), University of Vigo (Spain), University of Auckland (New Zealand), National University of Singapore, Seoul National University (South Korean) and so on. It was awarded as “the cooperation base for international science & technology” by Ministry of Science and Technology and Jiangxi Province, respectively. The cooperation base was evaluated to be excellent by Ministry of Science and Technology in 2016 and 2020. |
